Inviting families to slow down, notice, and wonder.
Some of childhood's most meaningful moments happen outdoors—not because every adventure is extraordinary, but because nature invites us to slow down, play, grow curious, and delight in small discoveries.
Mountain Shore Books grew from this belief: that children and families flourish when they have space to explore together, embrace outdoor play, and cultivate a lifelong sense of wonder.
My hope is to encourage families to step outside, share stories, wander a little farther, and discover that some of life's greatest adventures begin with curiosity, connection, and the simple joy of being together.

I'm Elizabeth, the creator of Mountain Shore Books.
As a parent, licensed professional counselor, and Registered Play Therapist, I have long been drawn to the ways children flourish when they have space to connect, imagine, play, and explore at their own pace. Exploring trails, coastlines, and quiet places with my own family has deepened that understanding and reminded me that some of childhood's most meaningful moments happen outdoors—not because every adventure is extraordinary, but because nature invites us to slow down, pay attention, grow curious, and delight in small discoveries.
Mountain Shore Books grew from this belief: that childhood needs space for wonder. Through stories, outdoor adventures, and reflections on the places we explore, I hope to encourage families to step outside, play together, notice the world around them, and cultivate a lifelong sense of wonder.
